What DC to AC inverter should I use for Camping?

The power consumption of the BMC CPAP/APAP machine is VERY LOW (typically under 50WATTS). We recommend using an inverter of at least 150W and no more than 600W

This will allow the inverter to run without nearing it's maximum rated capacity. Running the machine without the heated humidifier will save power.

The cheaper type of 'modified sinewave' is OK (no need to spend extra on a pure sinewave inverter)

At the time of writing;

  • A 150W 12DC to 230VAC 'modified sinewave' inverter costs less than $60 from Dick Smith Electronics
